Custom Work
Spirer Jewelers offers each client the opportunity to have a unique
piece of jewelry created to individual specifications or the customization
of an existing Spirer design. Spirer draws on twenty five years
of custom design experience to create pieces that are unique and
enduring.
We can also take your stones from heirloom or older pieces and create new
ones for you from them.
Designs can be executed in 18k yellow, 18k palladium white and 18k pink gold
or 950 platinum.
We guarantee customer satisfaction. We will work with you until we get the
design right.

Repairs
Daniel Spirer Jewelers takes the same approach to repair work
as we do to custom work. With almost 40 years of experience working on jewelry
we have handled pretty much anything that has ever been done and know the proper
approach to take with each piece (and when no approach will work). Most of our
repair work is guaranteed for 2 years.

Warranty
Daniel Spirer Jewelers guarantees all of its work for life.
There is never a charge for any repair work, resizing, or resetting on our jewelry.
We do not cover against normal long term wear and tear on pieces we make. We do
guarantee against loss of stones purchased from us as long as you come in every
six months for a cleaning and stone check. Reminders to come in for your stone
checkups are emailed to you and your warranties are tracked on our customer database.
We guarantee the stringing of any necklace for one year, and recommend that all pearls
be restrung every 12-18 months. All commercial chains and repair work are guaranteed
for two years. Certain repair work may be excluded from this guarantee based on the
age of the piece.
As
an additional service to our customers, we offer a lifetime, unlimited free
cleaning service on any of our jewelry.

Appraisals
Daniel R. Spirer has been appraising jewelry for over 30 years. He holds
a Graduate Gemologist degree from the
Gemological Institute of America and has completed many additional
courses on jewelry appraising.
We provide customers, at no charge, an insurance replacement value appraisal
on any piece made up with our stones. This appraisal is meant to assist you
in the event of theft or loss of a piece. If we are using your stones in
our piece a charge will apply.
Spirer
Jewelers will also perform fee based appraisals on any jewelry regardless
of age or origin. All jewelry being appraised must be left at the
store for the duration of the appraisal process.
Spirer has recently performed work assisting the Isabella
Stewart Gardner Museum in gemstone identification of some
of their antique jewelry pieces.

Gemstone
Treatment Disclosure
Many gem materials are now routinely treated in various ways including,
but not limited to: heating, diffusion heat treatments, irradiation,
oiling, fracture filling, dying, etc. Daniel R. Spirer Jewelers
was one of the first retail stores to begin full disclosure of all
gemstone treatments, even those not required by law. We believe
that all consumers have the right to know exactly what they are
getting. Natural, untreated material is available on request, within
the constraints of current availability. More information on gemstone

We are members of the American Gem
Trade Association and abide by all of their rules and regulations
regarding proper gemstone disclosure.

Recycled

Daniel
R. Spirer Jewelers is now able to offer much of our product using
recycled metals. We have partnered with a precious metals supplier
who is a supporter of the No
Dirty Gold Campaign and guarantees that all metal is recycled
from the Earth's existing metal supply and that none is purchased
from any mining companies.
