Spirer Jewelers offers each client the opportunity to have a unique piece of jewelry created to individual specifications or the customization of an existing Spirer design. Spirer draws on forty years of custom design experience to create pieces that are unique and enduring.
- We can also take your stones from heirloom or older pieces and create new ones for you from them.
- Designs can be executed in 18k yellow, 18k palladium white and 18k pink gold or 950 platinum.
Due to frequent delivery delays from our gold suppliers, custom orders can take 4-6 weeks to complete.
Let Daniel R. Spirer Jewelers assist you in determining the value of and liquidating your estate jewelry. Have you inherited a lot of jewelry you don’t want? Are there pieces you’ll never wear but you’d like to do something with them? While I would always prefer to take your gems and make up new pieces with them, I understand that sometimes you just want to liquidate some items. I can assist you in determining the best options for you to take care of this. I can, in some cases, offer my services on a commission basis to sell your pieces or I can direct you to your best options. Please call me to have a preliminary discussion and we can decide if it’s best for you to stop by for this service.
With over 40 years of experience repairing jewelry we now specialize in complex repairs and have a minimum charge of $250.00 on any pieces that were not personally made by Daniel. We do not work on costume jewelry. You need to have an appointment to bring jewelry in for repair. Prior to setting up the appointment we will ask you to send pictures of the pieces needing work to email@example.com.
Daniel R. Spirer has been appraising jewelry for over 35 years. He holds a Graduate Gemologist degree from the Gemological Institute of America and has completed many additional courses on jewelry appraising. We provide customers, at no charge, an insurance replacement value appraisal on any piece made up with our stones. This appraisal is meant to assist you in the event of theft or loss of a piece. If we are using your stones in our piece a charge will apply. Spirer Jewelers will also perform fee based appraisals (minimum charge is $250.00) on any jewelry regardless of age or origin. All jewelry being appraised must be left at the store for the duration of the appraisal process. An appointment is required in advance.
Spirer was chosen to perform work assisting the Isabella Stewart Gardner Museum in gemstone identification of some of their antique jewelry pieces.
Gemstone Treatment Disclosure
Many gem materials are now routinely treated in various ways including, but not limited to: heating, diffusion heat treatments, irradiation, oiling, fracture filling, dying, etc. Daniel R. Spirer Jewelers was one of the first retail stores to begin full disclosure of all gemstone treatments, even those not required by law. We believe that all consumers have the right to know exactly what they are getting.
Natural, untreated material is available on request, within the constraints of current availability. More information on gemstone treatments is available at: http://www.agta.org/.
Daniel R. Spirer Jewelers is now able to offer much of our product using recycled metals. We have partnered with a precious metals supplier who is a supporter of the No Dirty Gold Campaign and guarantees that all metal is recycled from the Earth’s existing metal supply and that none is purchased from any mining companies.
Forms of Payment
We accept Mastercard, Visa, American Express, Discover, Apple Pay, Stripe, and Crypto currency.
We will also take your gold scrap (old pieces you no longer wear, single earrings, broken items, etc.) and give you a credit towards any of our services. While we do not buy gold scrap outright, we are happy to accept it as a form of payment towards pieces in the cases, custom work, repairs or appraisals.
